Seth and Jane's House

So, Jane(Jane and her husband Seth happen to be close friends of mine, as well as, clients!)wanted me to wait to post pics of her house, but I'm too impatient! We still have some things we want to replace, and a few things to add too! This is just a sneak peek! If Seth had his way Jane and I could never shop/decorate together! I will keep new pics coming as we go!

Even with a baby on the way, don't be scared of white! That's what oxyclean is for people! The sofa, chair, and ottoman are all from Best Slipcover Company. They are super comfy and super stylish!

Jane had dried arrangements of hydrangeas done in her mercury glass vases, tres chic! Notice the polka dot dog bed, it is for a 3 lb yorkie named Heffner! Lil stink!

Phoebe Howard...I wonder how many posts I will do about you?

I just wanted to show you how great the F. Schumacher Chenonceau fabric looks done up in drapes. This is a pool house Phoebe did in Birmingham, AL. Home state shout out!

This one is a little fuzzy, but this is the aquamarine colorway of the Chenonceau fabric. I have this hanging on my inspiration board at my office. Oh my gosh I love it! This image is off of Phoebe Howard's new blog, mrshowardpersonalshopper.com. Such a great blog!

Kaye Douglas Inspired Room...

I love these Barabara Cosgrove lamps, available at Villa Dauphine! =)

So I pretty much did this inspired room in a one stop shop kinda deal. Wisteria...ahhh. i love this website and catalogue! What an easy way to capture Kaye Douglas's beautiful bedroom. This was an easy job! Classic, cozy, warm, and stylish...sounds perfect to me!

I am being shown up by a newbie!

My friend Sarah has started a blog and she is a woman possessed!  I have got to get back on the ball, and keep the updates coming!  I am totally inspired by the above bedroom.  Kaye Douglas had this room published on the cover of House Beautiful, and I have admired it from the first time I saw it!  By the way my friend Sarah's blog is sarahhowsweetitis.blogspot.com, check it out, it's fun!  I am not usually an orange person, but this room is warm and cozy, but light and fresh at the same time!  How'd she do that!  Slipper chairs are one of my fav things, especially if they're tufted!  Look for an upcoming post on an inspiration of the this awesome bedroom.

One More Thing...

I just came across this picture...I cannot for the life of me remember where I got it from, but I adore this image. Call me crazy, but there is something about the rainbow organization of the books that makes me feel so relaxed. Hmmmmm, they always say its the little things in life. Boy, it doesn't take much for me....

Perch...fly on over and check it out!

I have fallen for Perch in New Orleans, LA. They have a great website and super fun blog! I just picked a few of the things that caught my eye...there are too many to choose! This chandelier is one of the fab items that grabbed me. I can totally see it in an all white room, soooo dramatic!
And how fun is this bull?! I have an avid hunter for a boyfriend...lots of deer heads in our home, yikes...but this is much more animal friendly! And whimsical to boot!

There is something about Lucite...I love love love this chair. I NEED it for MY vanity!

Perch has a beautiful line of butterflies, as well. Striking alternative to the standard oil painting. I am so lucky to live only 3 hours from this great design boutique! I can't wait to visit them! Jazz fest does start this weekend...hmmmm, road trip anyone?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Jonathan Adler Inspired Room...

I may have posted this Adler creation on another post, but it just makes me smile. So here is my spin on this look. Enjoy!
How great is this Barclay Butera sofa?! We carry his line at Villa Dauphine, and it is fantastic. I took the pink that is on the walls of the inspiration room, and did it on the sofa instead. Loves!

Another great piece from Barclay Butera. I used these in a clients home, and they really make a statement. Zebra, my fav!

Snazzy little sideboard. This is a great piece because you can move it to different rooms in your home. Living room, foyer, or a dining room. Well that's all for today! Hope you are all having a great week.

Lavish is Right!

This is a line I found while flipping through my January? House Beautiful. Lavish by Matt and John is a totally chic reproduction furniture line. Their simple use of earthy linen compliments the beautiful limed oak finishes! It is totally affordable to boot! Check out their website, Lavish by Matt and John, they seem super cool!

Bringing The Outdoors In...

I received my West Elm and Frontgate catalogues in the mail yesterday.  Let's just say all of the rain has made me long for clear skies and summer!  While thumbing through these awesome catalogues I realized so much of the great outdoor decor, could so go indoor!  Here are some of my favs.  The lanterns above would look great on a coffee table, or on a console, and West Elm is soooo affordable.
I mean is this not the best!  Ikat, durable, and stain-resistant!  I die!  Did I mention it is only $169.00...
Completely chic ikat throw pillow.  The steel gray is so great.  These could go ANYWHERE!
But maybe you are more of a color kinda gal.  Love...love the red and orange!  $34.00. that's right.

Last, but not least, the yummy kelly green throw pillow.  If this doesn't scream Spring, what does?
I found this fab rug at Frontgate.  Totally weather proof.  If you have little four legged children that sometimes have "accidents", what a great and stylish solution.  It would be great for the two legged kids too!
Finally, the statement making Greek key rug.  It reminds me of the rug Palmer Weiss used in the post from a couple of days ago.  The one above, from Frontgate also, probably cost a fraction of hers, though.  Anyways, don't be afraid to bring the outdoors in, not only can it be practical, it can also be really hip!
