I am kind of obssesed...Tara Shaw Maison

I am so sorry for my absence. Work has been beyond busy, but too much work is better than no work!! I have been a huge fan of Tara Shaw for years. Her antiques are out of this world beautiful, and usually out of this world expensive. Her expertise in Italian, French, and Swedish antiques has led her to create her own more affordable line of reproductions. Tara Shaw Maison has been her baby for the past four years. Her hard work and attention detail shows. The collection is stunning. The wonderful thing about an old piece, or a piece that looks old is that it can mix with a variety of different interior styles. Take a peek at some of my favorite items from the collection.

SHELTER SOFA IN BELGIAN LINEN

ITALIAN MIRRORED SCONCE
SWEDISH ROCOCO COFFEE TABLE

GILDED IRON TABLE WITH STRAIGHT LAGS

SWEDISH THREE DRAWER CHEST

ITALIAN 12 ARM CHANDELIER

IRON VENETIAN CANOPY BED

ITALIAN BUFFET

All of the items can be found on Laylagrace.com, but hopefully soon at Parish in Montgomery!!

One of my favorite kitchens...

I know a lot of people blog about this kitchen, but it is so great!! Anne Turner Carroll, an Auburn graduate, is the mastermind behind this renovation. I love the open work shelving, subway tile, antique brass hardware, and amazing pendant lights. It looks like a kitchen I would truly want to cook in!! It is not over the top, or too fussy. It is just right. What do you guys think?

Million Dollar Decorators...A Review

So the new Bravo show Million Dollar Decorators premiered last night. I laughed the entire time. It was over the top, hilarious, and I thought somewhat sadly accurate. No, not all designers have snooty accents, I prefer y'all to delicious. And not all designers stay in bed for under a million dollars a day. I get up for, well let's just say significantly less than that. Having said that, it is an exaggerated fabulous look into the high brow world of big time design. All of the designers are legit. I have admired their work for years, and love getting a peek into their personal lives. I am obsessed that they all seem to be huge animal lovers. I wish I had a Lanvin to walk my four legged children. Will I watch this show religiously, yes. Will I love it, absolutely!! Design on rock stars.

Olioboard Test Run...

It worked!!! Excuse the unfinished, kind of lame design!! I am just thrilled to have found this option!! No more room post with 30 pictures stacked on top of one another. I am technically challenged, so this is big for me. Have a great weekend!!

I am kind of obsessed..

I came across this "gem" on my new obsession Pintrest. All of the bloggers are raving about Pintrest. If you are not a member, join. It is awesome. This fabulous jewelery is another Etsy treasure. Garnet Girl Designs is the genius behind these beautiful pieces. I am obsessed with the hand forged look of the gold and silver. The giant gems aren't too bad either. I would like one of each please.

Gabby Home

I cam across a new furniture line yesterday that I love. Gabby Home is based in my home state of Alabama. They have chic antique reproductions, as well as, one of kind antique pieces. It has a very clean lined look, and would mix in well with a variety of styles. Below are some of my favorite images from their website, GabbyHome.com.

Pouf the Magic Ottoman

Moroccan Poufs are a great way to add an unexpected to punch to a room. My friend Sarah is obsessed, and after researching these images, I think I am too! They come in a vast variety of colors. Not only are they fun, they are also functional. If you have kids they are great for sitting around a coffee table and doing some crafts. Adults love them too. I can totally see me and my girlfriends perched on these little poufs with wine in hand. They are not that expensive either, usually ranging from $165.00-$345.00.

I am kind of obsessed....

This is Zentique's new Horse Head Lamp. I am dying for it!!! It is so unexpected and whimsical. I really believe this would fit into a variety of rooms. I am thinking of it for our den, but maybe even our living room. Where would you put it in your own home? Love it or hate it?
