Romance with a Twist Bedroom

I love romantic bedrooms. I think a bedroom should be a haven for relaxation. I tend to gravitate towards softer colors and all white bedding. Here is a romantic inspired bedroom, with a few twists.

Providence Bedding from Matouk

Scroll Headboard from West Elm Upholstered in...

Fern Tree Turquoise and Ivory by Schumacher

Marigot 8-Light Chandelier via Circa Lighting

Cross Hatch Star Mirror from Mecox Gardens to go over...

Swedish Chest of Drawers from Chelsea Textiles

All on top of this Vintage Turkish Tulu from Carol Piper Rugs

Vintage Lucite Bedside Tables from Mecox Gardens

Topped with Chunky Classic Urns from Visual Comfort

I think it has a good mix of traditional with some fun, whimsical elements. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

She can do NO wrong!

Phoebe Howard has done it again! The bedrooms below are all from the same Island House! She has such an amazing eye for color, sophistication, and still keeps all of her designs approachable. If you are a follower of MrsHowardsPersonalShopper.com, like I am, you will see she is about to open her third shop in Charlotte! If anyone reading this post lives in Charlotte...you are very lucky! It is going to be 11,000 square feet! According to her blog, Phoebe hand picked everything, from the paint on the walls to the tiniest accessories. I cannot wait to see pictures!

The Ultimate Indulgence

Leontine Linens in New Orleans is the most amazing linen and monogram boutique in the world. The attention to detail on every monogram is truly amazing. It is so reminiscent of the beautiful antique linens that are becoming much harder to find. I posted a few of my favorites. Is it bad that I now want to monogram everything that is fabric in my house?

Pop of Color in Pascagoula

Let me just my clients who inhabit this space are absolutely wonderful! They are so full of life and genuinely care and listen to what you have to say. So, having said that this room fits their personality perfectly. It is vibrant, colorful, and somehow is still completely comfortable.

It is so refreshing to have clients that are not afraid of color! Fuchsia and turquoise, I mean how awesome is it that her husband is such a trooper that he embraces the fuchsia with a smile.

I will post more pictures, as the job progresses. Oh, I can't wait til Friday! I might have another post today, if I find time!

Kaye Douglas Inspired Room...

I love these Barabara Cosgrove lamps, available at Villa Dauphine! =)

So I pretty much did this inspired room in a one stop shop kinda deal. Wisteria...ahhh. i love this website and catalogue! What an easy way to capture Kaye Douglas's beautiful bedroom. This was an easy job! Classic, cozy, warm, and stylish...sounds perfect to me!

I am being shown up by a newbie!

My friend Sarah has started a blog and she is a woman possessed!  I have got to get back on the ball, and keep the updates coming!  I am totally inspired by the above bedroom.  Kaye Douglas had this room published on the cover of House Beautiful, and I have admired it from the first time I saw it!  By the way my friend Sarah's blog is sarahhowsweetitis.blogspot.com, check it out, it's fun!  I am not usually an orange person, but this room is warm and cozy, but light and fresh at the same time!  How'd she do that!  Slipper chairs are one of my fav things, especially if they're tufted!  Look for an upcoming post on an inspiration of the this awesome bedroom.

Luxury Linens

Sorry I have been MIA! I have been in Atlanta with some girlfriends. All I can say is "All hail Britney Spears!" I had a blast and am now officially a fan! I am in love with this line of bedding we carry at Villa Dauphine! It is Pom Pom at Home, and I would do every bed in my house in their line! Look at the gorgeous European style nonagramlike a monogram without the initials) they are known for, ahhhh!

All of the bedding is 100% linen, and sooo cool and soft to the touch. The kicker, it is all machine washable!

This is the Mathilde collection. It has a velvet ribbon detail, so sweet.

Last, but not least, this is the Charlie Collection. I have this on my bed, and love it! Look at how great the pink and blue are! I personally love white beds, which I am sure I have mentioned before!

Anyways, just wanted to share something that is timeless and romantic. Enjoy your day, i know I will, it is my birthday! Man, I am getting OLD!
