Olioboard Test Run...
It worked!!! Excuse the unfinished, kind of lame design!! I am just thrilled to have found this option!! No more room post with 30 pictures stacked on top of one another. I am technically challenged, so this is big for me. Have a great weekend!!
I am kind of obsessed..
I came across this "gem" on my new obsession Pintrest. All of the bloggers are raving about Pintrest. If you are not a member, join. It is awesome. This fabulous jewelery is another Etsy treasure. Garnet Girl Designs is the genius behind these beautiful pieces. I am obsessed with the hand forged look of the gold and silver. The giant gems aren't too bad either. I would like one of each please.

Gabby Home
I cam across a new furniture line yesterday that I love. Gabby Home is based in my home state of Alabama. They have chic antique reproductions, as well as, one of kind antique pieces. It has a very clean lined look, and would mix in well with a variety of styles. Below are some of my favorite images from their website, GabbyHome.com.

Ruthie Sommers: Eclectic and Fabulous
I always wonder what I could call my style, and I never come up with an answer. I need to take more chances, and think outside the box. If you want a breath of fresh air Ruthie Sommers is a cool blast of energy! Ruthie Sommers has such a fun, inviting, and whimsical sense of style. She designs with confidence, and it shows through in her work. If I had to pick one friend who her designs remind me of, Sarah is definitely it! I might start a bi-weekly post showcasing designers, and which friend they remind me of...thoughts?

La La Lavender...
I have had lavender on the brain lately. Our sweet Vervain rep came in yesterday, and I swear every memo I ordered was lavender. It is so soft and feminine without being frou frou...do you know what I mean? I have spent the lastfew nights on my new sofa thinking, what is missing? I think I need some color. I love color, but typically limit it to small pops in my house. I do think some lavender throw pillows, a throw, or even a new piece of art with lavender, could really liven my living room up!! Below are some goregous images of la la lavender.

Possible dream home?
I am in love with this house. I saw it on a blog a few months ago and saved it. I believe the photos were from the mls in Birmingham. My husband and his family have the most beautiful land just outside of Montgomery. While I am a city girl, the country is my fate. We talk about building our dream house all of the time. I love the charm that this home has, even though it is a new construction. The landscaping is also a major plus. I love the overgrown wild English garden look. It has taken my husbands a few years to grasp this concept.

Pouf the Magic Ottoman
Moroccan Poufs are a great way to add an unexpected to punch to a room. My friend Sarah is obsessed, and after researching these images, I think I am too! They come in a vast variety of colors. Not only are they fun, they are also functional. If you have kids they are great for sitting around a coffee table and doing some crafts. Adults love them too. I can totally see me and my girlfriends perched on these little poufs with wine in hand. They are not that expensive either, usually ranging from $165.00-$345.00.

What is an Oushak?
A good friend of mine sent me a text yesterday morning asking what is an oushak rug? I started thinking what an informative post idea that would be to share with all of you. I am by no means an expert on oriental rugs, but Oushaks are my favorite. The rug originated in Oushak, Turkey, hence the name! The rugs can date back as far as the 15th century. They are made of 100% wool, which is why they can last for years and are easily cleaned. Oushaks typically have neutral faded geometric patterns, with no center medallion. They can be very expensive depending on the rugs age. It is possible to find reproductions, but they can be pricey as well. Having said that, they are a great addition to any room, and is defintely an investment. Below are a few rooms with beautiful oushak rugs. I love that the rooms are all completely different. It shows you how versitile an oushak rug really is!!
