So yesterday I came home to find these beautiful red tulips on my pine server in my foyer. My sweet boyfriend had bought(and arranged!)them for me. I love tulips, but I really love the pop of red next to my turquoise Currey and Co. lamp! Which gave me the inspiration for toady's post. These two colors work. There is something so now about the pairing of these two colors. Anyways, just wanted to share some beautiful rooms that reminded me of my beautiful surprise. Happy Friday. Excuse the terrible picture, I took it with my Blackberry!

Design Love for Bobby McAlpine!
I am OBSESSED with Bobby McAlpine! His architecture and design is absolutely timeless. I love his rich use of colors, and texture. He is also meticulous about the interior details...ceilings, mouldings, floors, etc. This is my first post on Bobby, but definitely not my last!

Chic Stress Relief...
Cool, calm, and collected. I wanted to create a bathroom that made me feel like I was on a vacation everytime I run a bath. I chose spa like colors and dreamy marble. So light some candles, grab a great book, and imagine this is your escape!
The Vintage Collection from Restoration Hardware. Perfect.
If this doesn't say luxury, I don't know what else does! A marble tub, MARBLE! I can so see myself in this filled with bubbles reading a great book! Urban Archeaology....amazing.

Urban Archeaology. This place is amazing! Go to there website now! It is very pricey, but worth every penny in my opinion. Anyways, this sink is one of their creations. It has an industrial feel, but a classic feel too.
This is a no brainer. Marble subway tiles form Ann Sacks. I love the herringbone pattern, spices things up a bit!
Ann Sacks marble mosaic tile will look fabulous on the floors! It is a chic spin on a classic design.

Flower Power!
Since it is Valentine's Day, I decided to do an ode to flowers. Hearts seemed a little to literal. I know one of my biggest inspirations are fresh flowers! They add that special umph to any room. The Arrangements above look like fluffy romantic clouds! There is something to be said for an all white arrangement. All of the images above(except for the top two, I got those snap shots from April 2008 market in High Point)came from House Beautiful, but different designers. Here's to romance, I hope you all have a cheesy, love-filled day!

Sweet Home....
I am feeling a little nostalgic tonight. I have grown up in Alabama my entire life. There is a quiet charm here that always seems to put me at ease. I decided to post two Alabama spreads tonight. The one above is in Mt. Brook, done by Betsy Brown. I never thought I was a lavender girl until I read this article. I love the touches of the different shades of purple. It seems really natural and effortless in her home.

Accessorize!
This would be an amazing option in the "make-believe" dining room below. Marjorie Skour designed this work of turquoise art!
I definitely thought the dining room post needed a few accessories. A pair of the sea glass blue vases from Arteriors will look stunning with arrangements of hydrangeas on the dining table. Fresh flowers always seem to help finish the look of a room. It is definately a worthwhile splurge! The sunburst mirror from Festoni should go over the console. I love the layers of color in the finish. This is a great piece. It could easily be moved from room to room, depending on your mood. It could go over a bed, fireplace, or over a piece of art. The possibilities are endless!

A Cozy Dining Room...
Talk about the perfect shade of turquoise! I could see a pair of these lamps in any room in my house. For now they are the perfect POP in my relaxed family dining room. Festoni has the most amazing gourd lamps, in the most beautiful colors! These are available through Villa Dauphine in Mobile.
The farm house table below has so much character. Over time the wood will gain a beautiful patina, like you've had it for years.
This console is a perfect pop of eclectic! Add some WOW lamps, and it will create a great serving piece for any dining room.
This has to be one of my top 10 chandeliers! Visual Comfort has sooo many beautiful lighting fixtures, but this one has always caught my attention.

The parson chairs are from Best Slipcover Company. I love the ruffle detail on the corners, so sweet. BSC offers these chairs in a variety of fabrics(though the cream linen is my fav), and styles.
The pictures above are for a relaxed family friendly dining room. I love mixing rustic woods of the farm house table with sleek porcelain lamps, done in my favorite color family. Blues and greens are so calming to me, but I am a Pisces after all! The farm house dining table and Gothic arch console are from Aidan Gray Home, available through Villa Dauphine in Mobile, AL.

Sunday Daydreaming...
The turquoise and pink dream condo above is a product of Joe Nye. His use of color is amazing, that is obvious! The entire article was so cheerful and bright it makes me smile...
The yellow room above definitely caught my eye. Normally I am not a "yellow" person, but this is undeniably chic, and sooooo fun.
Sometimes having options can be a bad thing. Just when I think I have made up my mind about something in my house, I see something new, and I change my mind! I sometimes wish I were bold enough to use bright turquoise with bold fuchsia!
The chocolate foyer with the pop of raspberry is so adventurous. Ned Marshall stole my heart with this feature from House Beautiful. Did you notice the fab zebra print pillows on the settee? LOVE IT!

My Friend Sarah!
Sofa and Pillow Talk
I love my sofa, it took me three years to decide which one I was going to order! It is the Beecroft Sofa, by Rachel Ashwell, slipcovered in a light flax slubby linen. It is so basic and timeless, a quick change of pillows would totally change the look...like some of the pillows above. The pillows are from Ryan Studio, ryanstudio.biz, they have fab pillows!
These Louis XVI chairs are to die for as is...but that Schumacher fabric would look awesome too! If you haven't heard of 1st Dibs! Go to their website immediately. Antique dealers and stores from all over the country show their amazing inventory on one site. These are from Assemblege, in Chicago, IL. Actually they would look great as is, with a sofa in the Cheetah Velvet! Sassy!
